This long-flowering perennial produces exceptionally pretty daisy-like blooms in varying shades of creamy-yellow, each with a contrasting wine-red central eye. As temperatures begin to fall in the early autumn, the flowers transform, ranging in colour from an almost solid red to pale pastel yellow, with attractive red streaks appearing through the petals. These delightful blooms appear in succession from mid-summer to mid-autumn above compact and narrow, upright mounds of lance-shaped leaves. A rewarding addition to mixed borders, meadow style prairie gardens alongside ornamental grasses, or for colourful wildlife attracting areas.
